Parish nurses meet monthly from September to June, with both in person and virtual attendance available. These allow for fellowship, support, idea exchanges, and include guest speakers. The guests are from within and outside the group offering information on current health related topics, area health providers, or local agencies and the services they provide.
Members receive a bimonthly newsletter via email highlighting current events in the PN world, timely health topics, upcoming workshops & training opportunities, and insights from NWPNM members & clergy.
Connect with other parish nurses at our spring picnic in June or our fall retreat in October. These are both wonderful opportunities to gather in fellowship, see old friends, make new ones, and refresh your spirit!
Check out books, journals, and other materials on medical, nursing, and spiritual topics to enhance your ministry. Anyone can view our library here: https://nwpnm.librarika.com/ and see what we have availble. Members can message us to request a book.
Prospective parish nurses can apply for a scholarship toward a faith community nursing course at nearby colleges or online.
Active members are also eligible to apply for mini-scholarships to offset the costs of training or educational programs, as well as mini-grants to help support the unique needs of their individual ministries.
